I have soured against commercial social media and generally dislike it for:

• Posting would not reach anyone
• Differences in moderation (or lack thereof)
  • Specifically 18+ content; I am an adult who likes adult things
• Bloated interface
• Collecting too much personal information

Instead I've been trying to gravitate to the Fediverse and the lesser evil that is Bluesky, but also just existing on the internet here at Digital Hell.site where I can be more dynamic in whatever I want to bring to the internet.

This inevitably means I'm not neatly packaged into social media posts, though more pressingly it will look like you have to visit here frequently to know what I'm up to. But fortunately the old internet had a simple fix to this: RSS & Atom

Both at the root of this site and major sections are feeds (/rss.xml & /atom.xml) that can be fed into a reader of your choice either as a browser extension or standalone. Even some major sites have a feed they serve if you need another reason to consider a reader.

I will do a Best Effort to publish to places, but it will largely be one way—if you want to talk to me then find me where I'm comfortable, which at this time is on Mastodon at @CarlenWhite@furry.engineer.
